11/23/2008 7:26:39 PM Hey StevenBerry, actually I think club status so that we will be able to track our handicaps is free through Stracka. According to announcement on the homepage soon we will HAVE to belong to a club to get handicap tracking. The good news is it will be and Official USGA Handicap. This group has 7 members and it takes 10 to form a club. Hope this helps and hope you're interested in forming this into a club. get handicap tracking. 10/17/2008 8:59:09 AM »Club must obtain at least 10 members. »Chairman must take USGA handicap seminar. »USGA must respond to license request with approval Also, must have a chairman. Check out new tab above "golf clubs" click on any club established in the last few days and on the right there are some requirements and links to information. Hope this helps. |

10/17/2008 8:52:13 AM Not sure but I believe there is a cost to register with USGA. For some reason I believe I read somewhere on here the figure of $150 or in that neighborhood. There are also some other requirements. I know it requires 10 members and spread 10 ways the cost would be very low. |

10/14/2008 8:05:10 PM Hey all. We can now carry an OFFICIAL USGA handicap. Brando has created "clubs" that you have to be a member of, or you can create your own club. Brando has created a Charlotte area club which we can join. I suppose StevenBerry could create a "club" out of this group and we could all "be a member" so that we could have a USGA recognized handicap. (I really don't know why this interests me with my horrible 26.9 hdcp. rating!) |

10/13/2008 7:28:54 PM Had a great day at Cleghorn Plantation in Rutherfordton today. First time I've played it. Beautiful Bermuda grass throughout, HARD greens that were fast and putt like outdoor carpet! I played about my ability with some good shots and of course, some bad. Beautiful Carolina blue sky with the trees just starting to get some color. If you haven't played this course you should give it a try. 1 1/2 hr. drive from Charlotte, worth the drive IMO. |
