3/24/2010 12:22:06 PM now that it has been nice out up here in CT, i have been going to a Golf Club down the street from my work everyday, just hitting the putting green. it's free, and if you take a friend or co-worker, you can get some challenges going! i have been working on chipping. 45 min a day during lunch breaks really shows during rounds! |

1/9/2010 12:42:37 PM I just went out to my bunker for some sand practice. The first couple of warm up short shots went fine. Then I went for a longer shot and skulled it. What's up??? Hmmmm It would appear that only about an inch of the sand has thawed and I ran into the block of ice that was hidden below. OK, back to TV golf. |

12/19/2009 5:05:37 PM I just got a hitting mat for my basement. Along with an old game system I had about 7 years ago in the elementary days, I can practice all the time now. |

10/17/2009 9:54:46 AM I have a huge new soccer complex near my work. I go there at lunch with my scope, some cones, and a plan. I continually range my clubs as I work on my swing. My home course is just another 2 minutes down the road from there so I can mix in putting practice if anyone's out on the fields. I just had to convince the City Parks dude that I was hitting "into" and not "from" the fields. So far so good, it's very convenient. Still I usually go to the course if anyone's out there. Outta sight outta mind ya know? |

8/27/2009 8:49:57 PM Three days ago I bought a kettlebell and recieved my copy of Hardstyle Golf. I have been doing the workouts and today I played and I shot longer on every club by 5 to 10 yards. I over shot the green a couple of times because of it! I highly recommend doing these workouts. Even if you don't want to shell out the $97 for the workout video, get yourself a kettlebell and do "kettlebell swings" with it. The difference is dramatic! http://www.hardstylegolf.com' target='_new' rel='nofollow'>http://www.hardstylegolf.com/ couple of times because of it! I highly recommend doing these workouts. 8/15/2009 3:19:39 PM The group description says to write your practice so here I go: Today, I'm hitting the range and later I will continue reading "Peak Performance Golf" by Patrick Cohn. Tomorrow, hittin' the range at 8:30am and then playing 18 at Topstone in S. Windsor, CT. I'm trying to fix my "power fade" *cough* slice *cough*. Ben Hogan's "5 Fundamentals" helped a lot but I still need to be more consistent. For example, last round I played, I shot my 3I on a par3 183yds and landed the ball 3 feet from the pin. Next hole, I sliced my 3W and 2IH into the woods. :^/:30am and then playing 18 at Topstone in S. Windsor, CT. I'm trying to fix my "power fade" *cough* slice *cough*. 4/17/2009 5:10:52 PM Went golfing for first time yesterday. Did pretty well, all straight only a few off the fairway but my putting sucked which is strange.. When you're looking at a putt what would you suggest isthe best way to see the lie? and what is an appropr. amount of time to look at it when you're playing with a group? way to see the lie? and what is an appropr. amount of time to look at it when you're playing with a group? |

3/25/2009 10:55:09 AM I found a small wooden bowl about 8 inches across and 2 inches high. I put it various distances and practice chipping with my 52deg off the carpet. More concerned with the feel than actually making it.t. |

3/18/2009 8:22:02 PM What I do is tear the flaps off of a sleeve of balls and practice putting through that. On the putting green, I sometimes lay the box across the hole. Then when I'm on the course, I visualize that. |
