4/8/2012 10:43:30 AM Finally, I got a double Chen! On the 9th, the teeshot didn't draw enough and the ball missed to the right. With a tree blocking the shot, a 4-iron from 164y didn't fade enough and the ball rested in the left rough 10y from the front located flag with the bunker in between. Trying a cute shot, just as Tiger did on the 15th in his 2nd round yesterday on the 2012 Masters, I also fluffed my chip into the bunker! Haha! With little green to work with, my sandy shot was only an inch from perfection (fyi--similar to the wedge two weeks ago at the 11th, see last score post) and the ball rested on the edge of the rough. Inflated, with Herbert and George looking on, I jumped out the bunker and hit my next shot in a hurry without changing to my gap wedge. With a downhill lie and the hole is only feet away, I gently swung the SAND wedge through the deep rough: weee... ping pong.... A T.C. Chen! I doubled hit the chip! Wow, on the same hole, I had a Tiger Woods-like shot and also got a T.C |
