4/9/2011 1:06:33 PM So judging by what you said IS working, it sounds like it's the short game that needs shoring up. That's pretty typical for so early in the year. Regarding the course, I'd send them an email with your observations. If I'm a course owner/manager and I got a note like that I'd make sure the Superintendent shored things up. If players are noticing the difference, it won't be long before some will vote with their feet and play more elsewhere. |

4/7/2011 10:36:23 PM I'm just having a heck of a time this year trying to keep it in the 80's. Felt like late last year I was just around the corner from breaking 80. So far it's been a big disappointment. But I am hitting driver a lot straighter and keeping it in the fairway, and doing better on approach shots. At 80-90 yds, I'm dead on with AW. Got the hybrid mostly figured out as well. So there is hope....:) |

4/7/2011 7:00:06 PM In the past 5 years this course has been kept in really good shape all year long. This year it is in need of some tender loving care. Fairways are getting a bit rugged. Greens are in good shape grass-wise but hard. Tee boxes are okay, they are moving the markers around away from areas of heavy play. As usual, the bunkers s.ck, even the two holes where there is actually sand. This is the biggest drawback to this course. Made some great shots and some really, really poor ones. |
