No7 is a completely blind tee shot going straight up the hill. I hit a 6-iron to 3 feet and missed the putt low and left, trying to hit it firm on a line at the right edge and it just fell off hard. Could not recover, as the scores from no8 - on will indicate (aside from a bad start after pulling my head up on my first iron swing from the rough) - a habit that seemed to reappear late on 10, 15, and 18.

Awful just awful horrible follow-up to one of the best rounds of my life at Crystal Springs. Could've been a really good front nine and an all around good round, was striping it off of the tee with driver all day. Questionable decision to hit it on the short par4 dogleg right ninth hole, trying to go over trees on the right to drive the green (convinced I did it last time), and hit it OB. Then 5-wood bad swing/yank head on 10 tee box, and bad decision to hit it again on 11 tee box.

Mental game. Must recover and move on, stay in the moment. Commit to each shot.
