This is my best all-time 9 hole score. I shot it from the Blue tees which are the longest on this course. The signature hole came on #3 when the foursome ahead of me let me play through and I stuck the ball 3 feet directly in front of the pin. We all thought it was going in which would have been my first hole-in-one ever. After I sank the putt for birdie, I heard a loud shout go up from the group still back on the tee. The rest of the round - with the exception of #6 - went amazingly well. So the long and short of it is that I now know I can shoot in the low 80s on a moderately challenging course. The difference was definitely my short game - better chipping and putting. (14 putts is GOOD!!!). I had no shots left to squeeze out of my long game. (I had 9 2nd shots in the round which is right on the money.) Now on to more GIR's, better chipping and more 1 putts.

P.S. The birdie on #5 came on the #1 handicap hole.
