It's a very nice course. A Greg Norman course I think. I was thinking about that one too.

I've played Champions Gate, The National and International, Great Courses. This one I think is kind of a Sister course for these two, is located next to this inside a community, I haven't played it but i heard to say it's pretty nice but is new course, Last year by this time of the year They were finishing the course.

You have either stay at the hotel or be invited by a member in order to play Bay Hill

Plenty of good golf up there and all will be dirt cheap that time of the year. We will certainly get a couple of 4somes out for those who get in early, but we will look for a nice place that won't take away from the actual event.

For guys who stay the whole week and want a special treat, take a 90 min drive over to World Woods (N of Tampa) and play 2 Top 100 courses for under $40. Pine Barrens course is compared to Pine Valley.

Holy crap I had never heard of World Woods before now... I Google it and I seriously would have thought it was Pine Valley. Wish I had more time on my hands so I could go down and check that out while I'm there.

Take a look at my photo section and look at the pictures. I went there in Feb and played the Rolling Oaks course and pics look like Augusta National. I played last year with my buddy James and posted the Pine Barrens pics. It's easily one of my Top 5 favorite places to golf. Never paid more than $32 to golf there.

Have played both Champion Gate courses. Top notch. One draw back is that it's always windy there, even more than the normal Orlando windy. At least that has been my experience there.

Windy? It's always windy in FL. Only Texans can adapt to our conditions.

Note to NGT participants... Wait till you play your first 400+ yard Par 4 into the wind and hit Driver\3W and come up short.

I played the Oaks course at world woods several years ago and wasn't impressed. It was in good shape. Each hole had its own personality. No real complaints other than I didn't think it was anything special. I had a good round for me at the time. I think I shot a 78 from the back tees. I've played better courses as far as visually pleasing.
A course I liked better that is older and more challenging is Dunedin Golf Club in Tampa. that course has history and will eat your lunch!

Pine Barrens is the higher regarded course and has always been an amazing experience.

Last year I did Deltona Club and Victoria Falls up that way (which are both about 30 mins away). They were a really tough test and visually stunning. I just think there is so much good golf near Orlando, there is no need to leave the area.
