New Golf Now app

Has anyone else tried using the new Golf Now app and like it? It appears it only works well if you use the Near Me option to find courses. In order to do that you need to give it permission to use your location. There are very few apps I allow to "track" me and I mostly don't want to look at courses near me. It no longer allows you you select a region. When you search by zip code or city, the app decides what region of courses to pull in (which would make sense). However, if you refine the search it often changes the region and you have to start over. I live between 3 regions and there are local courses categorized into each of them so using it locally is nearly impossible. You would think they would do away with grouping the courses by region if you want to search a specific city and distance.

Tried it, didn't like it, deleted it.

I used the old one (last year) all the time. The new one is not as friendly. It is another case where they try to simplify it but make it less useful.

I'll still use it to book some rounds, though it is almost easier to use the desktop site on your phone...

Since I still use a couple tin cans and string, what's an app?

I quit using it here in Chicago. They really don't give a great deal here. Whatever the price on golf now I can get by calling the course minus the golf now fee.

I've had good success using your method. I understand that the ones with "Hot Deals" price goes entirely to GolfNow and the course gets nothing. I call and ask before I use GolfNow on courses I care about. The more of our golf budget they get, the better they can maintain the course.

I've typically only used it for finding the Hot Deals. Fridays at noon always have some crazy low deals around me. $12 with cart for what should be $30-40.

I played Wednesday and Golf Now had pricing at $25 for 18 with cart and advertised at 15% off. With their fee it was $27.50. I paid $24 at the course. 15% off what?
