Are you aware that the USGA has set the maximum driver head size as 460 c.c.?

I was unaware that anyone was making a 500 cc driver. Wow, I'd like to see that.

Good Lord Daniel! I've never seen drivers this big. And what are you actually playing with? Those monsters look too large to swing effectively.

diamondtour.com has 3 listed as over 500. $100 gets you a 750cc

I had a 47" Bang Golf 525 when I used to compete in long drive competitions. Some of the 460 heads of today look larger than than that was.
I stopped competing 5 years ago but still break it out for scrambles from time to time. It is a different swing required to hit it well and I just can't hit it well any more. Still get 320 carry out of it but nowhere near the 350-355 I used to average. |
