For the first time in 10 years I bought "new" golf equipment. I have always bought lightly used clubs and adjusted them to fit me. I went to Golf Galaxy to get an iron fitting so I knew what to look for in the used market. I was very surprised to see my swing data and specs with my irons compared to what was recommended. They were very accommodating and let me hit as many combinations as I wanted. Long story short... new, custom Titleist AP2's should be here by end of the week.

Driver fitting scheduled for Wednesday. Not really looking for new but want to compare to what I am hitting now. Of course, that is how I ended up with new irons.

Ahh, those fittings seem so cheap when you go in. Good luck with the new clubs. I look forward to seeing them on the course some day! (You'll probably have a new driver by then ;-)

I replaced EVERYTHING in my bag with fitted clubs about 18 months ago. I had my heart set on AP2's but didn't tell the club fitter that. We went through many different shafts, club makers and flexes to find the right fit. Low and behold, almost every club in the bag ended up being Titleist.

Driver Titleist 910 D2 8.5* Accra Shaft
3 Wood Adams Speedline 15* Accra Shaft
Hybrid Titleist 910H 21* Accra Shaft
5-PW Titleist AP2 Steel Nippon N.S. Pro 950HG Shaft
50&54* Wedges Titleist Vokey SM4
Putter Scotty Cameron California Fastback

I actually liked the "feel" of the Titleist 910F 3 wood over Adams but was much more consistent and longer with Adams.

Good luck with them!

I play the AP2 4-6 irons and the the Titleist Blades from 7-PW. I have nothing bad to say about the AP2 irons. They are as good of irons as I have ever played.

I used to play a blonde years ago. Lots of fun. Perfect. Then along came the brunette. Just as much fun, but more consistent. Both got the job done. Need I say more?........................................

I was wavering on adding the MB's in the 7-9 but I didn't like looking down at a different iron. It just didn't fit my eye. For that reason I was also considering going with the CB in 4-6 and MB in 7-9 since they have the same top line. In the end, I thought the AP2 would be an iron I could play a little better even if I am not getting out as often. Can't wait to get out with them.

Northern Open is coming up. Should be all dialed in by then.
