Does anyone out there play Wishon irons? Which ones and what do you think of them? A local club fitter turned me on to them a few years ago and I have been waiting to see if I come across them on the course. Still waiting.

I am rewarding myself with a new set of irons soon and have been researching Wishon equipment. All feedback has been very positive and they make so very nice looking irons (especially the 555M blades). Tom Wishon was the lead desinger for Golfsmith for many years and pioneered a lot of the technology seen on branded equipment. Just looking to see if there is anyone with first hand experience with their irons. I play nothing but Taylor Made so it is tough to go to an OEM component set.

The fitter is going to make me a sample 6I in the 555M and 575MMC with my specs to demo. 555M is a blade and I love the clean look of it. 575MMC is a progressive set. Cavity back on longer irons and muscle back shorter irons.

Shawn I can't speak to Wishon golf but I do play a mixed set of irons. 4-6 iron Titleist AP2 irons and 7-PW Titleist 910MBs and it is the best decision I have made in golf for awhile.

I made the switch because I wanted to master the half swing three quarter swing approach with every club from LW to 7 iron. I noticed that with a cavity backed iron I would get another 10 yards with the 3/4 swing shot. I did not want 10 more yards so I dropped half of my cavity backs for blades.

Never had the irons you are eye balling but I had other Wishon products in the past.
Nice quality products and if your fitter could match your swing up for a custom set of golf clubs then, you will have no excuse to blame the golf equipment for poor results on the golf course.

New Wishon equipment has to go through the Wishon approved dealer, but you could get used components on the market for experimenting.

Heard from the fitter yesterday. He spoke with Tom Wishon and he getting a full demo set of the 555M and 575 for his shop. Instead of just making a single club of each for me, he is going to make a PW, 7I and 4I for me to hit. Cant wait.

I've blamed equipment three times on the course. The three times I've played rental sets.

Not sure how I missed this forum last year. I had a Wishon driver. It was 11*. It really worked well for me at the time. But my swing has changed a lot since then and I now use a Titleist 910D2 8.5* driver with the head setting at 7.75*.
