Boise Golf?

I will be heading to Boise in May and will be there for a week, what are some of the favorites in the area? I googled a course called Quail Hollow that looks inviting.

Lotta good golf out here, and May is the best month to play. Quail Hollow is good. If you're looking for a beautiful, challenging course, Falcon Crest is the way to go, I play there about once a season. Mainly, I stick to the local muni tracks which are a lot of fun as well, like Boise Ranch or Centennial. One thing you'll love out here is the green fees...other than Shadow Valley (another really beautiful course), I can't think of a single course out here where they are more than $50. Friend me here and look me up when you come out and we'll get in a few rounds. I have a discount card at Boise Ranch for buy one get one free green fees. We're about the same handicap, so it should be fun.

Ill agree with Dave's suggestions Quail is a great course fun and enjoyable and has been in good/ very condition every time I have played there. It can be kind of out of the way depending on where you are staying. I mainly play at Falcon Crest Freedome course a very long 9 hole add on to FC's main complex, which also has a nice 18 hole champion and a cute wide open 9 hole par 3/4 course. Condition can be hit or miss depending on the course and time of year but should be good in may. and Boise Ranch is a pretty straight track usually in good condition. Ill throw in one not mentioned by Dave. Depending on if you have a car Broadmore CC which used to be a private 9 hole course but is now open to the public. It may be the valleys best kept secret a tricky 9 hole course and best of all $20 with a cart for 18 holes. Usually pretty open during the week never had trouble getting on the weekends get a little clogged and slow.

Years ago I played a 9 hole course in Blue Earth MN. I loved it. Like any course you play for the first time, you always want to go back and get your revenge, or change your course strategy. Playing the same 9 holes for the second time right away is perfect if you just love playing golf.
