I will be in the area of this resort in March/April 2011. What is the typical weather that time of year? Is that the beginning of golf season or will there still be snow?
Thanks.

Late March, early April, kind of hit or miss. No laying snow that time of year but the occasional Easter snow storm isn't unheard of. Hershey is farther West and higher elevation than where I am so the snow may last a week or two later. Have you tried speaking to someone at the resort, probably get better answers there.

In my opinion, I think the Hershey Links Course is their best course. They bought this course a few years ago when it was called Wren Dale. I really think you'll like this one. It's a little pricey, yet not as expensive as the East and West but then again ALL the Hershey courses are pricey. I didn't like the East and West courses because EVERY and I mean EVERY green was elevated so you had no idea what the slope was like or where the pin was located.

Unless you want to only play 9 holes (Spring Creek), I'd go with Hershey Links. Play before 4/14 and the fee is $60.

I have been reading and watching some of their promotional info and the links course looks like one I would like, so it is on the agenda to play... I will most likely play the east also (just to say I have...). I will be driving up 83 from Baltimore (BWI)... any interesting courses along the way to play?

Any of the Hershey courses are an excellent choice in the area.
I just played the Links and it was a bit cold and windy. They have a really nice practice area.

I was not able to play any of the Hershey courses since it was raining and 40 on the day I had planned to play. I was able to play Iron Valley (only a few miles from Hershey) and Links at Gettysburg. Both were in great condition for the time of year.
