Wondering if anyone has any recommendations for a lightweight rain shirt/jacket.
I'll be buying one in the next day or so and wanted your opinion.
I'm looking for something that will keep me dry but not burn me up in the 80-90 plus degree weather.
Trying not to go over $100 either.
Thanks for your help.

I always buy Zero Restriction. I've always found thaey are better fit than the biggest competitor, Foot Joy. My recommendation stay away from any off brand and don't buy anything that doesn't specifically say Gore-Tex. Even if it says waterproof but doesn't say Gore-Tex, I'd stay away from, that's my personal experience. Pay the extra money for something that'll keep you dry. Most of the time I buy from tgw.com because they always seem to have a lot of options for what you're looking for. Here's a link of Zero Restriction items on their site as of 7/16

I own a Cutter Buck short sleeve WeatherTec windshirt. It is everything I need for those sudden showers I encounter during the season. Lightweight and breathable. I have had it for four years now and has held up rather nicely.

Thanks for the info. I will be looking for one this fall season. I have seen all of these brands either on-line or in the store. Believe I will shop the store as the fit/size issue always is a item when buying online. Thanks.

Zero Restriction is by far my favorite for top notch water proof wear.

However for comfort I might lean towards Sun Mountain. I have a rain suit from Sun Mountain that feels like silk. It is light, soft and it does not make the typical waterproof noise that you hear when you move.

I agree. I have a half sleeve pull over jacket and a full sleeve zip jacket & pants. I played Three Eagles DURING the last tropical storm that came through NC. If that's not a test I don't know what is. And of course they all passed with flying colors.

How hot do the 1/2 sleeves make you? If its 80 plus outside an drizzling how much hotter did it make you?

I found one of those batting rain warmup short-sleeve jackets on sale for $7. I has worked great for me. It looks nice, it's loose, and it does the job.

(Yes I am cheap.)
