I was at the pga superstore in Plano/Frisco Tx, yesterday and they has a titleist ball that has 3 letters behind it. there was probly 15 dozen in the case, all brand new, and i think they were selling them for like 20 dollars a dozen. I cant for the life of me remeber what those letters where. can anyone help and any insite to wether they are good or not. Its not a pro v1 or NXT. they didnt sell them in a box anywhere.

If it is not the NXT or the NXT Tour then it is most likely the SOLO or Roll

I have seen it online but I thought it was going to only be on the Asian market.

I think they are suppose to be about the same as the NXT Tour. A premium ball but with less spin than a tour level urathane covered ball.

It's a ball made for the Japanese market. It's considered a distance ball. I believe it's cover is like an NXT but the inside is like a Pro V1 and is a 3-piece ball. Considering we've sorted through almost 200000 Pro V1's and 130000 NXT/NXT Tour's this year and we've come across less than a dozen VG3's I'd say that the balls you saw were probably mis-shipped or brought back from the orient.

The question is are they legal in The States? Some many things are marketed for Japan that do not conform.

They are. I checked the USGA site and they are there

Well I checked a few different golfsmiths in the dfw area and all had them, none are in the original box. they all have them in a bin.
