I find that I have side bets with almost all of my friends when I play and the competition makes it a lot of fun. They are:
1. Loser salts the fries at lunch. 2. $1 a hole (so I make sure to get the lunch money for #1). 3. Will agree to shave my moustache if I ever lose again. 4. Loser puts the clubs in the car at the end of the round. Of course the customary rabbits and squirrels and other critter bets come into play as well. |

Playing by myelf just about all the time I never make any wagers on the golf course. All I gamble on in golf is Stracka-Lucka.

whenever my brother and i bet we usually just end up welching anyway so it's kind of pointless

Though I do like to gamble, I have a few buddies i play with that dont really gamble.
we each put 50 cents in to get a dollar bill. That dollar bill is now the trophy we play for everytime out. The loser must sign and date it. I have two friends where we are on our second dollar because of so many signatures. Its something that we have really enjoyed doing. |

As a high handicapper I sometimes play with guys who play wolf and ask me to join in, but when I ask if we can use our handicap none of these guys want to use handicap and every one of them is much better than myself. I therefore tell them I will not give them money since I don't have a chance of winning and to me that would be like taking candy from a baby

As a high handicapper I sometimes play with guys who play wolf and ask me to join in, but when I ask if we can use our handicap none of these guys want to use handicap and every one of them is much better than myself. I therefore tell them I will not give them money since I don't have a chance of winning and to me that would be like taking candy from a baby so True,than the Baby,grows up and kicks A$$!! |

Most the time we play match play, $2 front/back/overall
$2 birdies, $5 eagles $1 greens with reversals! If u don't par then u pay everyone $1 instead of collecting! $1 sandy's. Must be up/down from bunker shot par or better.. No bunker 2 putt pars for sandy's! |

I forgot to mention the Lil Fella. My dad gave me a golf doll with 2 faces. One with a big grin, but if you turn the head around he would have a frown with a broken club in his mouth. The winner, would keep the doll until the next round. Not sure what happened to him. I beat my friend every round one year until the last round of the year and then he took the doll home for the entire winter!!! That was a long winter... HA HA HA!!!

We just do the old "loser buys lunch" bets when we play. Meaning low man in the group pays for lunch.
Nothing huge just lunch their in the clubhouse. Makes it interesting during the round and some good natured ribbing insues of course throughout the day on what we're all going to order when we dont have to apy. |

We decided worst score buys the best score a soda after the round. We did it in a skins fashion. Where if 2 people tie the point moves to the next hole. Me and one of my friends tied with 3 skins and had a playoff on the practice putting green for best score. He beat me 2 to 3 and I got nothing. Still can't believe I lost.....

2 dollar wolf per hole must make par or better to take the hole. Partner must be called during his tee shot. carryover and 2 dollars birdies.
Also 10/10/10 per man or group bet. |

We play a lot of ways to gamble most have been printed here. However we have come up with a way to becoma better putter and maybe win some money. It is called the SWITCHY. here is how it is played. Once everyone is on the green. You look where your ball is. If it is outside the length of the flagstick. You can call "SWITCHY" . If you make the putt in one you wina buck from each person in the foursome. If you make it in two strokes it sia push However if you do ot make it in 2 or less it is a SWITCHY which means the bet switches adn you pay each person in the foursome a buck. it si fun and you really begin to watch yoru putts.
