Golf has got me depressed. So I go to the driving range today and start hitting these long beautiful and straight drives over the fence with my new swing improvements. One after the other.(Thanks to all of you who gave tips... It worked). As Im hitting them over the range fence 240 yards away, I hear this crack. I really have no clue what it is, but I start to hear this rattle in my driver. I tip it over a few times and the sound goes away. I hit it again and I hear this hollow thunk. I look at my 2 month old driver ant I see this crack going down the bottom of the driver on the toe side. My poor FT Tour. Then to top it off as I am going to practice my putting I notice that my Callaway Rangefinder is not in its normal place and is nowhere to be found. Feels like I lost a few pieces of my heart today. No Driver and no Rangfinder. How am I going to go on? = )

That is a bad day--How old is the driver? Maybe you can send it in to Callaway and they will repair or replace it at no charge. Hopefully nobody walked with your range finder. At least the Sun came up today and today will hpefully be a better day for you~Goodluck!!

that sucks!

but there's nothing wrong with walking off yardages, provided you do it in a timely manner. I've only used rangefinders on a couple of occasions and found out, my eye is pretty close. if only I had my distance dialed in better.

as for the driver, didn't you get that for free when Mick won the Masters?

It was a 2 month old driver. I think someone snagged it out of my bag. THats the only thng I can assume. It is usually in a pouch and clipped to the golf bag. I have no explanation. All I know is I hadn't used it in a while. Tsk Tsk Tsk. Ill get over it one day. I just see dollars going down the drain.

I sure did. Im still waiting for the reimbursement check. I may have to use it to replace the driver if they don't replace it. And seriously, if they don't, I may have to go to a different brand. I loved my Callaway. I know I have a fast swing speed but that thing shouldnt fall apart. I clean my club after every hit just so I can see the point of inpact on the club and it was dead center on the club. I just dont get it. Im praying that they just replace it with no issue.

I actually do hit my 3-wood 250. But I hit my driver 280-320. Easier to get on in two. I used to only play with my 3 and scored better, but decided I couldn't be scared of my driver forever so I started working on it. I started hitting it good and cracked it. That could definitely be a good sign of striking the ball well. I feel better about that type of sign.

Wow. I had a similar situation with driver. I was hitting dead straight on the range and then it sounded all weird and I saw a crack right through the top of the clubhead. The rangefinder really sucks though. When I'm out on the course I ALWAYS have that attached to my side. I hope you find it soon or else you will be losing a lot of money my friend.
