I also have a passion for this wonderful game. I cannot wait to go out and play or practice. In the morning before I take my daughter to school, I take on e of my irons and just take practice swings. So YES I got it bad, also.

I'm the biggest golf fan of people 18 or younger. Watch it play it, love it, think about it every hour, have dreams about it, know more than most people at any age, I'm addicted.

I have clubs all over the house just to carry around and work on my grip. Golf channel is a preset on the box. Every bathroom has countless old issues of Golf Digest/Golf Magazine, Laptop desktop is the 7th at Pebble. I have a PAR-B-Q set (golf grips on my BBQ set), my clubs never leave my truck unless I'm using them. I spend a good chunk of time on Stracka talking with you guys about golf. Caddy shack theme (Kenny Loggins "I'm all right") plays when I get an e-mail. The Titleist logo is the background on my BlackBerry. I'll turn down my wife if there is a tee time to be had instead ~ stop me if I'm off the deep end but I'm obsessed with golf. I'm working towards my only goal for later in life: Own or own part of a course some where warm.

So what's your ringtone? Oh Canada, Take Me Out to the Hockey Game, or Bad Romance by Lady GaGa?

Well, the general ringtone is the original 007 theme song, when my best bud calls it's "5 minutes alone" by Pantera, when my wife calls it's "Imperial March - Darth Vaders music", when my cousin calls (huge leafs fan) it's the sound bite from Happy Gilmore "You Suck!!....ya jackass!!"

Yeah, golf is one of those things you either completely love, or dont like it at all!! ALL OR NOTHING!! and most of the guys that are "addicted" have it bad like I do!! All my buddies understand; seems my wife does too!! She doesnt mind at all which was surprising!! Yeah, I find myself aimlessly wandering the aisles of our local Golfsmith, hanging around there for hours!! The guys say I am a fixture there as well as my "home" course where i practice 2 to 3 nights a week after work!! My mind thinks of the next "play day", i spend wayyyyyy toooo much time obsessing about next golf trip with the guys!!! Ughhhh, its rough, the mental torture we put ourselves thru!!!! but love it!! an outta control addiction at that!!!

My wife has nearly left me over the game of golf.

My office is a shrine to golf's past.

My golf collection is growing out of control

I have been known to wear my Augusta National Green Jacket on Master's Sunday in public.

For God Sake's I play 100 year old clubs!!!

My most recent play set will include what is likely to be the most expensive golf iron in the world, Bobby Jones' personal Spade mashie and yes I am going to play it!

I have 357 antique golf books in my collection and not only have I read them, but I have read each of them multiple times.

SOME SAY PASSION...I SAY INSANITY!!!!

Sorry guys, I guess I'm the odd man out. I love the game of golf, I really do, but I could walk away from it today and not lose any sleep over it. I used to be the same way as you Dandy and the rest of you. But I guess over time I have realized the more important things in life, the things that at the end of the day really matter. Its kinda weird, when I'm on the course, I'm focused on the game, I love the individualism of the game, the scenary, the challenge, the fellowship, but when I leave the course, its over until I go back. Believe me I've had several people tell me I'm in the wrong profession and my answer to them has always been the same, I love the game, but not that much. . I guess thats why I would be able to walk away from it if needed~~

Well let's see.. I have played for two years now. The golf magazines are in the bathroom, my checkbook and checks are golf course images, I take lessons for 21 weeks straight which is during late spring and all summer, so of hot a** weather. I live in Charleston, SC so I can typically play year-round and have. My pratice sessions are 3 hours or so, which I do about twice a week not including my lessons. I have numerous training aids and practice games, between my husband and I there are 4 sets of clubs in the house and one set in the garage. I watch about every tour, the reality shows, and of cours The Fix on the Golf Channel. I haven't stopped playing in the pouring rain cause I can usually wait 10-20 mins and the rain will let up. I spend hours on stracka (on Wed usually) reading post and choosing my picks for fantasy golf. Passion maybe, obession yes.
