Englishman Ian Poulter along with Twitter rants, commercials and clothing line have a few words to the American golfers.....Your reign on the sport is almost up.

Here is the link to my piece on this and what Poulter had to say:

This moron also said this:

DUBAI, United Arab Emirates -- The outspoken Ian Poulter caused a stir on the eve of the Dubai Desert Classic by saying he was the only player capable of challenging the supremacy of world No. 1 Tiger Woods.

"The trouble is I don't rate anyone else," the 32-year-old Briton was quoted as saying in the March issue of the United Kingdom version of Golf World magazine.

"Don't get me wrong, I really respect every professional golfer, but I know I haven't played to my full potential and when that happens, it will be just me and Tiger."

This is the kind of stuff that gets Tiger excited about the game. It would be great to have Poulter paired with Tiger or any other American in the final group on Sunday.

Unless the Americans having been riding the sport of golf like a horse, it's "reign" not "rein".

Yeah, I remember him saying that as well. I loike Ian Poulter as well. I think he's funny on Twitter and on-course but at times, he lets his mouth run a little too much.

Confidence is one thing but be careful as the line between confidence and arrogance is as very thin one.

Wasn't it Stephen Ames who said,"Tiger is very beatable." If my memory serves me right they played a match together and Ames lost 9 and 8!!!!

That's funny because 6 of the last 14 majors(2007, 2008, 2009, and the 2 this year) have been won by Americans. Nearly half of that many tournaments won by a certain country is pretty dominant. Europe has won 4 times, South America has won twice, Africa has won once, and Asia has won once. And those are continents much less countries. While Ian may be my second favorite golfer behind Phil he can say some pretty stupid things like Mike previously mentioned above. I think we'll truly know the answer to that question on October 3rd.(The final day of the Ryder Cup).

Yes it was.

And then there was VJ's caddy with "Tiger Who?" on his hat when they were paired together in the final round of some tournament. Or was it the President's Cup?

How'd that work out for VJ?

IAN has always been the outspoken one for the Europeans. Then again if you got the jiblets to dress like him, you better be able to back it up~

He did make a good point about the age of the major US golf winners and those in their 20 and 30's behind them. Rein or Reign......good eye Padre...

I think Poulter is a good player...but I don't see the talent in him to become #1. He's no Nick Faldo, that's for sure. There hasn't been a TRULY great British player--and possibly no truly great European player in general--since Faldo. Hell, players from South Africa have more majors than Europe in the last 20 years.

I don't think it's a good idea for a Brit to get American players riled up especially in a Ryder cup year. Ian Poulter isn't really that good. He has a staggering 1 win on the pga tour. I'm not really impressed by euro wins when they consist of such prestigious tournaments like the Moroccan open. He has that typical Britis arrogance about him and is all pomp and circumstance. he reminds me of anna kournakova plays on a professional tour but is known more for the clothes they wear.
