I'd like to think of myself as a patient person but it's starting to run thin. I joined this site over 5 years ago and they still haven't issued me a GHIN number. WTF?

An ugly monster rears its head again. Please ... I beg you ... for the sanity of us all ... go to the sign on page for this site and read about GHIN ... or the lack of it ... on this site.

Yes, as everyone needs to know this site is not related to the commonly used GHIN handicap calculation service. We are a different company.
Handicaps calculated through GolfNet / US Handicap are official USGA indexes eligible for use for any event requiring a handicap index. Tournament committees are not supposed to discriminate handicaps based on vendor, though admittedly a tournament committee is ultimately in charge of the event. In addition, events run by your state or regional golf association may have association membership requirements. Vince - reach out or reply if you have further questions and I'll be glad to help out. --Jim, GolfNet / US Handicap |

Look at your avatar. That should explain everything you need to know regarding your GHIN number. Speaking of avatars, I've tried to change mine at least 5 times in the last month with no luck. Keep getting error messages. I know I have to stick with my screen name forever, but now I can't change my avatar/profile picture???

I submitted a ticket a few days ago - Jim did reply and passed it over to the technical support. |

Vince, just curious. Do you prefer a spinner bait or a jitterbug when you troll? I admit I was taken a bit aback by this thread as I know Vince has been on the site from some time. That said, new users do look at these threads and I wanted to minimize confusion. --Jim |

It does seem to be the one big area of recurring confusion. |
