Every football season I make sure to make it absolutely clear to anyone who wants to listen, and maybe a few who don't, that THIS is the Eagles year to win the Super Bowl... You know, just in case! Some poor guy in the Philly area dies this year and had his pallbearers wear Eagles jerseys so they could let him down one last time.
So here we are! NFC wise, two very well matched teams nobody thought would make it this far with two backup QB's nobody really seems to like. AFC wise, although I give a Ritz less, possibly a more interesting matchup. Personally, I'd like a rematch with the Pat's and take my chances on getting a ref crew who don't need seeing eye dogs to find the field. One the other hand, I would not mind seeing the Jags just go off and make Brady go all Eli on national TV. So any thoughts, favorites, any haters out there...??? You know where my loyalties lie. It's inconceivable that either the Vikings or Eagles are going to have the chance to snap their respective curse and win a Super Bowl. If the Jaguars could do all of America a favor and somehow topple New England, we'll have an unthinkable Super Bowl. I just imagine the NFC game will be low-scoring and a brutal defensive battle. Probably a 12-9 kind of game.

Pats, Jags are going to light each other up, last one with the ball and 12 seconds on the clock wins. NFC looks like two defenses playing most of the game between the 30 yard lines. Eagles can win on field goals as long as they are 50 yards or more. This kid Elliot is a bag of cats from 40 yards in! |

I will say that I have already started planning my Superbowl championship tattoo. It's going to be an old school eagle being ridden by 56 & 65 sitting side by side wearing underdog heads!. The Lombardi trophy clutched in it's right talons and Tom Brady (counting on this...Blake Bortels just won't do!) dripping blood in its left talons. The feathers on the right wing will be marked with the numbers of the Eagles greats from the past. 20, 40, 60, 92, 99, 7, 15. The feathers on the left with the numbers of the current team. In the background will be the faces of passed on fans looking down from heaven and up from the icy frozen depths of hell!!! It's gonna be beautiful man! Tears in my eyes...  |

Sorry Philly fans, but now that the Pats have elected to white, they're gonna win. Done deal. Had they worn blue, I still would have given the Eagles half a chance. Not anymore, sadly.
