After years of construction work I have tremendous grip strength but I have lost some grip pressure sensitivity. I never drop something big or heavy but from time to time will drop a small, light object.
I currently use a mid size grip but am considering trying some larger diameter grips. My hope is to gain a better "feel" for club face direction an so forth. Any of you guys have experience with this? Thanks |

Bryson DeChambeau plays jumbo golf grips on his irons and swears by it. I have not experimented, though have considered it.

I switched to jumbo grips mid-season and absolutely love them (golf pride cp2 wraps, black & blue). I played with standard size grips for my first 2-3 seasons, not knowing any better. The difference in feel is amazing! Much more confidence in my grip and it has lead to better, more aggressive/accurate ball striking. Sweet spot hits still give great feedback, and small mis-hits off the toe, heel, etc. no are no longer felt in my hands.

During my Ping fitting session, it was recommended I use standard size grips. For some reason due to my hand size, a "skinny" grip never felt right in my hands no matter if I swung a baseball bat or golf club. I have used midsize grips on my clubs for decades now with the exception of my driver which has a jumbo grip. When I do my regrip over the winter I will most likely switch to a Golfpride MCC plus4 since it has less taper and retain the jumbo for my driver.

Vince, Size really does matter. Your hands are just not used to holding something day in and day out that is large in nature.
It's happens with age... |

Jumbos will slow your release and make you push the ball.

Jumbos will slow your release and make you push the ball. Wasn't thinking jumbo. Just thinking a size or two up. I wonder what type of adjustments would be necessary to get the desired ball flight? |

Jumbos will slow your release and make you push the ball. That's what she said. |

As far as I know, there are only 3 sizes. Regular, mid size, and jumbo. However you can customize each of those with several layers of tape.

The larger the grip, the harder it is to return the clubface square at impact. Try one large grip before switching all of your clubs.
