So Lewis, do you think those of us who said Rory gets to ten majors are still dead wrong? Actually, I'm starting to think my prediction of ten is light.

"3) Cog predicted that Rory would win 9+ majors. I still say no way, despite 3 majors by the age of 25. Rory has not proved that he can play like this week in and week out let alone from major to major. And 9 majors...that list is very very short with only 3 players ever winning 10 or more professional majors...Tiger Woods with 14, Walter Hagen with 16 (counting his Western Opens prior to the first Masters) and Nicklaus' 18 majors." - LL

Has Rory proven he can play like this week in and week out yet? Since winning his first major, he is winning majors at a rate of 28%.

Jack said he could win 15 to 20 majors. But what does he know?

Very true. The truth is nobody knows...even those who claim they do.

One thing that could be a concern for Rory is longevity. Much like Tiger and perhaps even more so the amount of torque Rory has and his explosion into the ball could make longevity and issue. Remember that he is not the tallest guy on tour but he gets his distance from pure torque.

Another thing to worry about is (funny enough) weight lifting. Tiger was perhaps one of the first true athletes of golf and Rory is clearly taking the same path. Now look at Nicklaus and Mickelson neither were workout fanatics and for the most part they went injury free.

Just a thought.

By the way...I like Rory...a great representative for the game of golf. I am just saying that he has 4 majors and some seem to be gloating that 4 = a guaranteed 10+.

I could be wrong and will be the first one to admit it...but won't do it until #10.

Nothing is guaranteed, and we are all just speculating.

You made a lot of comparisons and threw out a lot of numbers.

You forgot one.....

There are only three players that have won four majors by age 25. Two went on to win more than ten.

I think it's going to be three for three.

I think it's really fun to see the changing of the guard. Rory was a mess this time last year. Look at him now! Ricky really turned things around too. I wonder what got him in gear. Something inspired him toward the end of last year. Lots of other guys out there that could emerge. Will be interesting to see who does and who doesn't.

I think your ready yourself Mark. The incredible numbers you put up ever single round is tour ready big boy. With those GIR and FIR numbers, you obviously get up and down at the equivalent of a tour player. All around the greens man. Your putting at a 1.6 ave. is tour level too. Time for you to give the US Open a shot don't you think? Heck instead of TW on the hat, people could be buying MS on the hat. Your right there Mark. Butch can help you improve the average ball striking into the greens to get you rolling.

You are really full of it if you think that the conditions we play under are in any way comparable to those of a PGA Tour player.

If he wins The Masters next April, I think 10 (at least) is a done deal. He'll have won them all and having that confidence, nothing will stop him.

That's not something I think any of us want to have to accept.

He just had a bad relationship with a girl and won three straight, including two majors.
