Has anyone ever tried one of the clubs from Warrior golf. You know, the free ones with $30+ s/h. ;-)

I am always getting their offers but never took the plunge. Just as curious as how the product performs. The reviews I have read were not very good.

Typically in golf; If it's too good to be true, it usually is..

My guess is they are no better than anything available used. But I figured I would ask. As for dealing with the company, I'd rather not. They are a relentless, questionable seller at best. I was going to buy one used for $1 on ebay +$5 s/h. Maybe not...

DON'T DO IT! Learn from my mistake. I took their offer about 12 years ago and promptly sent the clubs back before the trial period expired. They still charged my credit card for the clubs.
It took me over 8 months of badgering them and getting the BBB on their case to get the credit card charges reversed. They still occasionally try to call me with offers despite many requests to remove me from their lists. |

I have a 60 degree lob wedge from them that I tried for free, etc., and it's not a bad club, but not worth the hassle of dealing with them. They even sent me an email offer for a free foozball table. Really, a foozball table! That doen't even make sense.

My dad got one of their drivers for free about 5 years ago. Second or third round out I hit it once and cracked the face.
However, a guy I play with once or twice a month has a full set of Warrior equipment and loves it. |

The issue is they will pursue you to the end of the world once you are on the list. Long time ago I got a set of wedges from them and it was not bad at all, except the material was so hard, I could not bend it to adjust the lie angle. I got rid of them after my old office number was cancelled and moved to another location. One of my friend got the free set of hybrids, it turned out to be very used, paint chips all over the head and the grip were jumbo sized ( from the fitting with the previous owner whom had returned them ). I guess if you don't have to deal with their marketing team and could re-purpose the head and/or the shaft then a few dollars would not do any harm. |
