What if during his layoff Tiger teaches himself to play lefty? His right knee is still good so if he switched to playing left handed it would put the pressure on the right knee instead of the damaged left.

I still wonder how many of you have had to switch-hit on the golf course.

I saved par on Riverside's No. 17 in Arlington one year ... hit a tee shot up against the fence on the left, had to whack a left-handed upside-down 7-iron toward the green, chipped to three feet and made the putt.

I also made an 8 or 9 at Memorial Park this year trying to whack a 6-iron left-handed ... it would've been smarter for me to just take a damned unplayable.

I used to practice 4-5 balls a bucket left-handed with an upside down 7-iron. If you can hit that 100 yards or so, it's a huge help from time to time. Doesn't happen often but it happens.

I have only had to switch once. Prolly should have tried to a few other times. The results prolly would have been better.

I haven't had to try it either, but I have practiced the shot. When I feel like there's not much else to work on, or I'm bored I'll take my lob wedge and practice hitting left handed.

I've only had to do it twice - the first turned out horrible and the 2nd time got me back into the fairway but I'm definitely not comfortable enough to hit a green from any significant distance

The golf gods have had it out for me this year ... I've been snookered five times already this season where my only options were to take an unplayable or to try to play the shot left-handed. Four times I at least got the ball back into play. The other time I swung and missed, topped the ball about one inch, then barely hit it five feet leading to a quad.
