How many wedges do you carry?
I'm curious how many of y'all carry four wedges. I did for a couple of years but am now using a 48-, 54- and 60-degree Vokey with the full grooves. The 54 has just 11 degrees of bounce. I think the 60 is 7 or 10 ... it's more than 4. I recently got the 54, so I could take out my 52 and 56 and put my 2-iron back in the bag permanently. Before that I'd carry four wedges (48, 52, 56, 60) unless I knew I'd need my 2-iron in which case I'd drop the 52 and only carry three wedges. Anybody carry just two wedges? Surely nobody carries five? Or does somebody? |

I do carry five... I kept the PW and SW that came with my r7 set and I also have a 52, 56, and 60 TM TP. The r7 PW is 44, so I use that for 120-130 and the r7 SW is 50 and great out of the sand and that's all I use it for.

Mizuno mp 53 Pw 46
Cleveland cg15 gap 52 ....new this year Cleveland cg15 Sw 56 Cleveland cg15 Lob 62 The Short game is what scoring is all about. I have only used 3 wedges for the longest time. I have always had an issuse with trying to ease off on a PW , missing greens. So the gap is what i added this year and has made those 115-125yds shots so much easier to hit cause i can take a more of an attacking swing. Big time help on the par's 5 if I can not reach in 2. |

I scrolled through the responses and I think I'm a total anomaly.
I carry two pitching wedges. One 50 degree Wilson traditional wedge and one Wilson that came with my box set (cavity back). I think they are serving me fine. I can use the cavity back from 100 yds and in and let up when necessary. I use the traditional wedge for greenside bunkers and short side chips as I'm still learning how to hit full shots with it. |

Just found out that Cleveland is re-releasing the CG14s but with conforming grooves. That is what I had before my Taylormade wedges. I might switch back because I like the heavier style wedges and the TMs are really light.

I have played Cleveland wedges for years and I am a fan of their styling and heavy weight. Here it is: http://www.clevelandgolf.com/n.. |

The new CG14 has a Gelback insert with conforming grooves and the CG15 is laser milled with square grooves. |

My stock TM Tour Burner A- (51 deg.?) and P- (48 deg.), Cleveland CG14 56 and 60... Covers most distances for me from 60-120... The AW is a 50 unless you have had it bent. I have the same one. If you have the matching irons to go with it, the pw is 46. |

Usually 4, 48-52-56-60. It depends on conditions in Houston, at times the 52 gets a break and I'll put in a hybrid for the in between shots, lot of roll 4wedges. Soft conditions get the hybrid.

TaylorMade Tour Preferred MC PW - 48*
TaylorMade xFT - 52* / 09* bounce TaylorMade xFT - 56* / 12* bounce I think I may need to start carrying a 60* for a couple of courses I play. I can do almost anything with a 56* except stop the ball when I'm short-sided on these greens, particularly from the rough. I either need to start hitting more greens in reg, or get a 60*. |
