I'm interested in your opinions on the most overrated and underrated players on the PGA tour. (Optional: provide a brief explanation for your picks.):

Underrated- Paul Casey. Who here knew he was #7 in the world rankings?
Overrated- Lee Westwood. If your only wins in America are the St. Jude and Zurich, you need to win a major before I call you the #1 player in the world with confidence.

Why does Westwood have to win more in the USA?The PGA is overrated the European tour currently has 3 of the top ranked players in the world as full time members.

Typical of a Euro supporter. Westwood hasn't won a EPGA event since November of 2009. Westwood has to win more period. The Euro tour is nothing special. Besides the co-sponsored events you have a bunch of weak tournaments like the French Open or Portugal Masters.

I'm guessing the 3 full time members you are referring too are Westwood who has 1 win in the last 2 seasons. McIlroy also 1 win in the last 2 seasons and Kaymer the only one that has earned his spot.

Overrated - Dustin Johnson (Nick Watney owns him)
Underrated - Mark Wilson (2 wins so far this year)

Totally agree with Luke. Until there is a worldwide tour, the US will always have tougher competition and better events than Europe.

Actually referring to Kaymer,Westwood and McDowell.PGA champ and US Open champions.

You mean McDowell who lives in the US (Lake Nona, Florida) and plays over here too. The definition of a European player is getting pretty fuzzy these days.

I wanted to limit this forum discussion to players with a US PGA tour card. So this conversation would include Donald, Casey, Rose, McDowell, Villegas, etc., but exclude Kaymer, McIlroy, Westwood, Ishikawa, etc. Maybe it's my fault for not being more explicit about this when posting the forum.
