Hi all,

We are planning on releasing a big refresh on January 1st that will update and upgrade many different areas of the site.

Please use this thread to post YOUR ideas of what you would like to see as far as forums updates and anything else while we're still working on it.

For example:
- Better spam control in the forums
- More scoring stats
- iPhone apps
- Integrate equipment stats into profile
- etc.

We will try to implement as many of your ideas in the update.

Thank you!
- The Stracka.com Team

Forum search feature! I've seen this on some other forums...you can search for a full or partial topic, keyword, or poster. It would help users to see if a topic has been posted previously before they go and post it on their own. I think it would eventually help to streamline the forums.

Yes, that's a good one.

Also, we will be able to merge threads that are discussing the same topic.

I would like a couple of stats and posting updates

1. Length of first putt
2. Club used for drive per hole
3. Lengh of drive per hole (not par 3's)

How about an app for T-Mobile in the Android Market?

Also, maybe a better or updated FAQ section. I'm still trying to figure out how many points it takes for a free round at the courses. I don't see where it shows that.

Thanks

Mark

My wife is also a golfer and loves it but doesnt spend anytime on stracka or facebook for that matter, so I was wondering if there is a way to put both our scores etc into a single user logon etc. Id like to post her score along with mine, join the same club etc. Maybe a "couples" logon or some such.

1. Length of first putt

Yes, it's something I'd like to track as well!

Also, I would suggest having flagged elements automatically disappear from the site after two flags (admins can review the elements and bring them back if the flags were unjustified).

And fixing the blog issue: On a group page, you can only have 10 blogs in the box on the right. When you click "view all" to view the archived blogs for this group, it brings you to the list of all Stracka blogs instead.

Thanks :)

I would like to see a spot for golf course reviews. I would like to know if its worth the money. "This course is the best thing since sliced white bread" or "The course should only be played by dirt dobbers". Just a thought. I'm sure any thing you do will be great.

Oh yes, good idea :) I was researching courses to play in AZ and I thought I'd look at the ones listed on Stracka, but I couldn't find any review. It would be great to be able to rate the courses!!

For sure more reviews.

* Courses
* Equipment
* Golf Pros

It would be nice to have a better search for local golfers and friends.

Need you figure out a better way to promote local golf. In Canada I don't think you have the GEO ocdes set up correctly. There never seems to be golf deals, tournaments or available golf partners in my area. The closest one to me is in Nevada and I'm in Niagara Falls, Ontario

Would be nice/fun to have pages where we could see twitter posts from the PGA/LPGA Tour Pros. Listing of Pros that twitter/FB, with link to just their posts. Not all of them crammed into one page.

A couple of thoughts.

(1) a special segment for R rated photos, while no minor log in could access.
(2) give the handicap chair-person full authority to run their club as anywhere else. If the person contributes time and effort ( or even funds) , they should be able to run the club anyway they wish within the guideline of the U.S.G.A.
(3)we really should distinguish the social members and members whom want to have a step up from just being a casual golfer. A separate guideline for golf clubs should be in place for these different types of golfers. To keep everyone happy and go about things within their own pace. Social members do not need a U.S.G.A. handicap index so they don't have to be bounded by the playing requirement and such. Members with more competitive mind set could play more golf together. These groups have different needs and should be separated for them to feel comfortable in belonging.
