Let's start by putting it out there that I'm a high handicapper. Most of the people I play with are much better than me and that keeps me focused. However, I've played just about every sport out there and have always been very competitive. The other day I was playing on my B-day. I played 18 at Ramblewood (the course wasn't in great shape) and I let the course conditions get to me. After that miserable 18, I drove down the road to Pennsauken CC. This place is usually in good shape. I got grouped with these 2 pros who wanted to play a semi competitive skins type match. No money, but a light hearted game. I wound up shooting my lowest round to date on a regulation course. Don't know if it was the competition making me concentrate or the fact that the round I played earlier had my expectations low. These guys were a good time. It was fun and I even took a couple skins with some pars. Overall, it was a good day.
