Well as some of you may or may not know, I live in the northeastern part of the U.S. The climate here is not great for golf especially this time of year. I do what I can, ya know; go to the range, peruse the golf shops, and stay tuned to the Golf Channel. I'm an addict, I know. Since it's been slow at work, I spend a ton of time here on Stracka. Today though, my addiction (and my curiosity) got the best of me. I took the sticks over to my local Golfsmith during lunch. My goal was to determine if my current equipment needed any tweaking prior to the coming season. I've done some static fittings online and most were giving me a lie angle of -3 or -4 degrees. I had to find out. After working out the rust, I started pounding 7 irons 170+ yds. The clerk told me that my irons were just fine. Next, I really need to start looking at 3 woods. Mine is a Dunlop that makes it way outta the bag maybe once per round with horrid results. I demo'd the Burner and Cleveland launcher. Both great clubs. I was blasting those out there around 230 or so. Now I just need to convince my wife that a 3 wood needs to be added to the arsenal. And please mother nature, warm the northeast up a bit. I'm itching for some 'real' golf.
