My dilemma when I got to Torrey Pines.........which course to play? I think I made the right decision, I played South first, had lunch and then played the North course!

To Jerry's point, Coronado is on Golf Digests list of the top 10 courses with green fees under $55. My brother played it a lot when he lived there and loved it!

So I guess west is straight ahead.

Agreed Aviara is much better along with Steel Canyon, we did go over to Coronado Isl but didn't play the local track. Everyone said it is good

Jim, Coronado Golf Course is better than North course next time your there. AND I tell everyone that goes to San Diego, if you are going to spend $180, go play Aviara up the road in Carlsbad. Afternoon rate $140. Absolutely without question, the most beautiful course in the area.

Yeah now $180 for non residents but one has to play it. South was in great shape with nice greens, North was not so good with greens that were trash. Hard to believe so different at same location

Yes you did! Play well

South is much better than North. North course the first 7 holes are great. After that it is pretty over-rated for the money. Still always a good time in San Diego. Grew up playing there for $25 to $35. Now? LOL
