10/1/2015 1:24:22 PM Yea I killed a 6"6" Rattler in SE Georgia about 20 years ago and I read that that was a very rare size and a huge specimen may top out at 8 ft so 9 ft is gigantic. Either way after seeing the 6 1/2 footer for real in person I don't want to be surprised by one. |

10/1/2015 9:28:32 AM Eastern Diamondback Rattlesnake. This picture has been circulating for a while. Good example of forced perspective photography and sensationalism, but clearly not a 9.5' rattlesnake. I have seen this exact picture in a post on the website of Wildlife Biologist Dr. David Steen. He has an excellent and informative website which anyone interested in herpetology would be well advised to visit. His post about the pictures of the "giant rattlesnakes" that have been circulating is here => http://www.livingalongsidewild.. Conclusion - it may not be a giant rattler, but it is a nice looking snake! |

9/30/2015 6:26:44 PM Might not taste as good as the smaller ones. Good size and bigger than an AZ Diamondback |

9/30/2015 2:50:54 PM Oh my God. Not a nice sight as a snake fearer. Where in Georgia was this? I live just outside of Greenville in SC and play in Georgia every now and then. |
