Yikes. I wouldn't want to ruin a perfectly good putter. A conversion like that could REALLY mess up the balance of the club as well...it would make the head feel too light, wouldn't you think? I think I heard long putters traditionally have heavier-weighted heads to make the swingweight proportionate to the shaft length.
