3/27/2011 9:08:51 PM I'm not a Hunter nor ever will be, but I don't have a problem with people who hunt to put food on their table, I have the problem with people who kill just to kill~ |

3/24/2011 2:19:21 AM Ah! So this is the photo that spawned the hunting topic! Nice trophy, though it's not my cup of tea, so to speak. Also, for those who were (in a roundabout way) complaining about it's not being golf-related: This site is for people who love golf, not for people who only love golf. Many of us (myself included) post pictures of vacations, dogs, family members. This picture is no less acceptable in my opinion, regardless of my personal beliefs on firearms and hunting. I am just thankful that we didn't see all the blood and guts and if anyone has such pictures, please, keep them to yourself. Thank you. :-) |

3/22/2011 10:48:51 AM It is guys like us who DO hunt that pay and fight for the preservation of natural, unfenced and uninhabited land so these animals can live and thrive in their natural habitat. Anti-hunters fail to see this. Organizations like Ducks Unlimited and each state's Game & Fish Commission are ENTIRELY funded by hunters through license, permit, and stamp fees. When hunters woke up in the early 20th century and realized that they wanted to preserve this land and the animals that live in it so future generations could enjoy it, serious conservation efforts began. Populations of every animal herd in every state are carefully studied each year, and the "bag limits" are adjusted so that the right numbers of female vs. male animals are taken each year so as to provide a balanced herd with the optimal ratio of male-to-female animals, for the most effective breeding environment. Through this, most American animal species have gone UP in numbers since 1900, and some of those numbers are drastic. Here is a FACT. Animals that are in danger of extinction are NOT in danger due to hunting. That is due to human overpopulation and habitat destruction. In fact, seasons don't even exist for any animal that is on the "watch" list, long before they are endangered. Nice blacktail! Have never gotten one myself. Only whitetails out here! |

3/21/2011 9:18:21 AM Its great...Guys like JDUBS just don't get it. Just because THEY don't like something, or understand it, for some ignorant reason think no one should enjoy hunting. Perfectly legal, morally correct and an American heritage. Bet he's a democrat too. |

3/20/2011 1:13:21 PM I did not realize there were so many vegetarian golfers in the world. In a marketing sense, i'm thinking salads at the turn. Nice buck, from a bucknut. |
