3/18/2010 10:53:24 AM This seems a little weird. There are guys on Tour that probably aren't much more than a +3, and they still go low. Not everybody out there is a +7, you know...and remember, a course rating of 78.1 is an estimate. Think about the scores you see at Augusta...it's almost always under par, usually way under par (last year was -12). If you look at the course ratings of other courses where players post similar scores, it's usually around 74/75. 78 is like what you see at a US Open setup, and the winning scores there are usually around par. If Augusta were really a 78.1, then why are the winning scores so low? I'm with DiamondDave. Let's all just go play it and see! How cool would that be?!!? |
