8/7/2010 3:54:46 PM Unfortunately, this photo does not do Betty's talent justice. It really is stunning in person. Once the collection is a little bit more complete I will share it with you in its entirety. It includes: Hagen's 1929 Ryder Cup and Open Championship Golf Bag, 6 irons that Hagen used during those events, 1 wood that Hagen used in those events, many photos which show the bag, Hagen and his caddy, a couple of signed and inscribed photographs, and a 1929 New York Daily News paper covering Hagen's victory. I also am in the process of purchasing a print of Hagen putting for the 29 Open Championship, and hopefully a signed 1929 Ryder Cup menu, which was signed by both the UK and the US Teams. I have offered this entire collection to the PGA of America so that they could take it to Wales as a display for the 2010 Ryder Cup. |
