First of all, great game yesterday, BBB. Our teams sure know how to put on a barn-burner when they square off. Well done on another good season.

My early prognostics is that this is going to be a really good challenge for the Broncos, as was New England. The best thing Denver has going for it right now is being labelled as a huge underdog. Not many gave the Broncos a chance to beat the Patriots, even on their home turf. Denver has had its best games this season, especially defensively when they've been the underdog. See Green Bay, Cincinnati, the 1st half of the game at Pittsburgh, and both New England games as proof of that. I was reading about how they felt disrespected going into yesterday's game, and there's no doubt with how many people are taking Carolina by a landslide right now that they're going to feel the same way the next 2 weeks. The Denver D matches up well with Carolina. Put Talib on Brown, Harris on Ginn, Ward on Olsen, and they won't be able to pass much. Jackson, Wolfe, Marshall, and Trevathan are great run-stuffers to halt Stewart and Tolbert. Ware and Miller will give that offensive line the toughest challenge they've faced all year. Lastly, either Marshall or Trevathan can play spy on Newton and keep him from getting loose. I don't see Cam scoring more than 20 points.

The trick will be what Denver's offense does. I have lamented our offensive line all year, and they will have their hands full against Carolina. Our running game for the most part has been nonexistent, and I don't expect that to change no matter how nice it would be. If it happens, it'll be through Anderson, not Hillman who severely angered me when he never attempted to pick up Manning's backwards pass yesterday. Norman will probably be all over Thomas, Finnegan will get matched up on Sanders, not sure who they'll put on Norwood, Fowler, and Daniels, but Carolina should be able to limit the 3 of them. Manning's going to have his hands full.

The things that give me inspiration and hope... the underdog concept like I discussed above, to begin. Denver was favored for the most part against Seattle 2 years ago and look how that turned out. It convinced me defense wins championships, which I had doubted before that game, and I firmly believe no matter how good Carolina's defense is, Denver's is better. This time, unlike against Seattle, Von Miller and Chris Harris will play, Denver's 2 best defensive players in my eyes. We do not have a head coach who would simply tell Peyton to "go out and win" in John Fox, and a guy endorsing kicking and screaming in Kubiak. (On that note, how hilarious would it be to watch this Super Bowl with John Fox, knowing he last coached both of these teams and couldn't win a Super Bowl with either). Denver has a defensive coordinator now in Wade who will have masterful game plan and actually scheme for the opponent unlike Del Rio.

It will be a really tough game to win, but I have faith Denver can get it done. Carolina has been the best team this season without a doubt, and Cam is the MVP this season and it's not even close. But I think Denver will find a way.

Gotta go with Carolina. Denver's D is top notch but Carolina has shown all year long that they can play D too. I think the difference will be Carolina's high scoring offense compared to Denver's low scoring and their QB who can't get it way down field anymore.

I expect Cam to go off. Like a record setting type of going off.

Or

Get injured trying.

I did like it when they told him who he'd be facing in the SB he referred to Peyton as the "Sheriff"

Gosh what a dissertation, you have a future in politics when a few words are supplanted by many to confuse people. Hopefully Carolina didn't shoot all it's bullets getting to the big game. Still a tarheel at heart so predicting Carolina in a close one.

Denver. Von Miller needs to see the #1 as a bullseye and take out the arrogant and classless one early. I will be pulling for Co and his Donkeys for the first time.

I remember way back when Brian Bosworth tried to square up on Bo Jackson in a MNF game. Bo crushed him. I wonder what will happen on the 1st solid contact between Miller and Newton?? Cam is a BIG MAN 6-5, 250 Miller is 6-3, 250 is as well. That my friend, is a lot of mass.

Important to note that the one previous time Miller and Newton played, Von had one of the best games of his career. I remember thinking after this game there was no way Cam could ever succeed in the league after the way Denver throttled him. I was wrong, but glad I was wrong. I like seeing Cam play well and have fun. But I hope he plays like crap on February 7th.

Seeing that Carolina put up 80 points in two playoff games against two of the best defenses in the NFL, I believe it's "more probable than not" that the Panthers win the Super Bowl.

The only way I see Denver winning is if Son of Bum Phillips comes up with a genius game plan, the defense makes a ton of plays, and Manning and the offense steps up the HGH and finds a way to put more points on the board.
