Okay need input from the experts.

I purchased a new putter about a year ago which is the Taylor Made Malet Spyder. It is one of the counterbalanced models. It is not the longer 38, rather it is standard length 35". It has the longer grip that comes with the counterbalanced putters. I had placed a Winn Jumbo Black grip on my former putter and absolutely love it. The putter was a Roza Monza Corza 35", not counterbalanced. All that leading up to my question for you experts. I want to regrip the spyder putter. Will it impact the weighting or playability of the club if I do not put on the longer grip and go with the Winn Jumbo black?

If your putter has a counterbalance weight in the grip and you replace it with a new grip that is not counterbalanced then the swing weight will be higher.
