I loves me sum hybrids!! I have a 2 & 3 at the moment, took the 4 out when I got the new set of irons. Could see going back to it but I like my 5 and 6 irons just fine.

I've got a 7 liter V10 in my F250. I could load 5 of those prius in the back.

You are "thinking about adding a 5 & 6" because...? I'm trying to understand what you are trying to accomplish Mark. What is it that you think or hope changing out mid irons for hybrids will accomplish for you?

I seem to hit my Hybrids better than do my irons, So I am looking at adding a 24* and 27* Adams and see if it helds

Don't worry. I'll come pull you out of the ditch if you get stuck and there is plenty of room in the back for you, so you won't have to walk.

LMBO now that's funny, No worries mate that 4 wheel drive Chevy will never be pulled out by a Ford

So here is how I would approach this.

Ask yourself if you are typically hitting your 5 and 6 iron out of the same lies as your 3 and 4 hybrid. Then if there is a change, evaluate how that difference may translate to the hybrids. There are lots of scenarios here, but giving a couple as examples might help explain the significance.

Let's say for example, you hit your current hybrids mostly off the tee or on the fairway, but hit a lot of your 5 and 6 irons from the rough. You might want to go out and hit a bunch of practice shots with your existing hybrids from the rough. If you seem to make much better contact, than getting the 5 and 6 hybrids may be a good bet. If not, then you learned that the problem is more swing related (how to make solid contact out of the rough) as opposed to the the cause being the implement you are using.

Another question to consider is whether you have a change in expectation with the 3 and 4 hybrid vs. the 5 and 6 iron. A common one would be something like this. With a 3-4 hybrid your may be happy if you make solid contact and the ball goes in the general direction you intended. But with a 5 or 6 iron you expect it on the green reasonably close to the pin. In this case, different expectations is a factor.

If you make more consistent good contact with the hybrids and do a better job getting them in the air, a change to the hybrids may improve your game. But if your hybrid shots are typically worm burners in the general direction you want, you could be very disappointed with the change.

Hybrids are typically a little more tricky to shape shots too. But it doesn't sound like that is a concern. You just want more consistently.

I seem to hit my hybrids a little cleaner than my irons. I also was thinking about adding a 4 and 7 hybrid.
