My wife & I will be in Nashville in July for business but we always try to squeeze in a couple of rounds - any suggestions for courses?

Forget golf. Hit every single bar there. There is literally hundreds within walking distance of each other. If you get tired of the music city area, head towards Vanderbilt University. Nashville is probably the best night life place I have ever visited.

Hermitage is about 15 minutes outside Nashville. There are two courses: President's Reserve and General's Retreat, where they play an LPGA event. Both courses are great but Reserve is pretty long. It's been a couple years but I think rates were less than $60 during the week.
I also played Vanderbilt Legends Club but that is private. If you have any connections that can get you on there it is gorgeous. |

Gaylord Springs is a nice course. It's across the street from the grand ole opry. I believe they used to have tour events there back in the 70's. Not too expensive either.
