Being the absolute novice that I am, I am probably asking the ultimate stupid golf question. Is it worth joining the USGA?

I've been a member the past 10 years. You get a free hat, free calendar, bag tag and Rules of golf. Best part is the ability to buy US Open tickets at cost. Its worth it.

And if you hold out on paying your renewal membership the following year they'll drop the price to $10-$15 instead of $25. Just wait until they send 2nd and 3rd notices. |

Been a member as long as I can remember. Since I am not that far away from Golf House, I have used the membership for discounts there.
