With Halloween coming I thought it would be a kick to find out if you have ever had a scary golf nightmare (or bad dream for the tough guys).

I golfed with an elderly gentlemen a few years ago and watched him get crowned by an errant golf shot. He dropped like a bucket of bolts. That night I kept dreaming about him dropping and the look of death on the guys face. I still can see his face when he dropped. Not something I want to see on a golf course any too soon again.

From time to time I dream about great rounds of golf only to wake up to this.......

I've dreamt about being in a big tournament and not being able to put the ball on the tee. Boy, that will get you nervous. The other one I've had is forgetting a tee time, or missing it and fearing the repercussions as far as perhaps not being allowed to play that course ever again. Scary stuff.

Don't think that I have ever had a bad golf dream.

Any time I play with Don Pierce, the likelihood of a nightmare stares me in the face! One time I dreamt that I was playing with him, Scott and Joe and we got to a long Par 3. I hit a flush 4 iron to 220 and got the GIR. I was faced with a 50 foot putt for birdie. My first putt made it to the 2nd tier of the green and promptly rolled back 10 feet; my next putt went over the last tier and went by the hole 10 feet; and I missed the 10 footer from there for a 4-putt! Nightmare!

When I woke up from that horrible dream I realized that I was replaying in my mind what actually happened the day before. Just one of the MANY horrific, eerie experiences that I can count on when playing with Mongo. Happy Halloween.

There have been a few ....

Driving in the cart .... and driving .... and driving .... and driving .... never reaching the tee.

Or being on a never ending hole .... always hitting a new hazard, tree, trap, water, tree again, water .... the cycle doesn't get broken until you wake up.

But this morning's was the kicker. I thought I was supposed to be visiting the Masters. Strolling the grounds though, it looked terrible .... all over grown, weeds .... the place hadn't been taken care of for years .... it was a nightmare !

Trick or treat !

I remember that dream and I parred the hole. Unlike the rest of you slackers. :)

I KNOW I must have had a bad dream this morning, as there is NO WAY I could actually shoot a 48 on the front nine......

Haven't had one, but what happened to Greg Norman and that chain saw would certainly qualify. Last I heard, he may never be able to play again.

Being last in the buffet line then finally getting to the buffet tables and everything is gone with laughter in the background.

I thought yours would be a 3 footer for par, without the long putter.

That's Adam Scott's nightmare in a year from now Vince as he drops back in the ranks of insignificance.

Mark has already made it clear that he is no longer anchoring and hasn't done so in a year. He won't have to worry about that awkward piece of short equipment that the rest of us deal with. He is a long putter man with a totally compliant non-anchoring stroke. If anyone could do it, we knew he would.

I'd love to see a video of that compliant stroke so we could share it with Adam Scott.

Nightmares.. I'll give you a nightmare:

Waking up on Spring Valley golf course with Ethan's loudmouth pants on with a beard growth like Mongo staring at Highlander in a pink tutu shouting "GO EAGLES" while chili dipping a hot pink Spalding ball with Ian Poulter in the background singing Justin Beiber... kill me now...
