Slope/Rating change on the site

I was disappointed today when I went to post a score and I was no longer able to manually change the Slope/Rating. This is going to cause a major headache for me as probably half of the courses I play have incorrect Slope/Rating information listed on the site. Having dealt with the "scorecard review" feature with little success in the past, it looks like I'm going to have to start hording my scorecards while waiting for the admins to update the courses. Anyone else facing a similar annoyance?

You are most likely dealing with an old scorecard from the course. The updated slope and rating can be found at usga.org . This site's database for course ratings comes from the USGA not old scorecards that the course hasn't gone through yet.

Nope, the USGA is out of date. I confirmed with the course that what's on the scorecard is the current Slope/Rating.

That's pretty unusual but I guess it could happen. The problem is at that end if this is indeed the case. This site won't alter the data unless it agrees with the published information from the USGA.

Have you tried submitting a support ticket?

Wow, I requested a scorecard review and the admins have already updated the tees with the correct Slope/Rating. I'm impressed!

I sent a support ticket. Its my second in three days. I have yet to get a response. Manually changing slope or rating used to be possible. Now I have no idea why they would remove that freedom.
Very frustrating.

It was removed because sometimes people would enter the wrong information. Often courses would have a confusing array of slope/rating info and it was difficult to figure out which was correct. The data should agree with the information on the USGA database, not just whatever is on the scorecard the course hands out that day. It can be a little slow to get a response sometimes, but I think it works better this way overall.
