Just heard a report that Tiger is out of the masters because of his back? Anyone else hear that?
I'm glad I didn't put any money on him while I was out in Vegas then! |

Yep. He's out. If Phil also doesn't play it's going to take away a lot of the luster from the event. Hard to imagine a Masters with neither of them in the field.

A lot of us are amazed how professional athletes are college graduates and can barely utter a coherent sentence. Not so for Stanford grads. Just listening to Notah Begay very articulately commenting on Tiger. And of course Tiger is one of the most articulate guys on Tour. Even Sherman, the Seahawks DB who went ballistic speaks intelligently. Never heard a Stanford grad who sounded like an imbecile.

Tiger's rehab time is something to think about as well. What about the time frame to return...saw on TV they are speculating late fall! Hes out a while, and TV is going to need a fresh young face to plaster all over the ad space. Whos going to fill the void?

Reed is a good call...I just dont think he has what it takes to win the Masters. I definitely see him winning majors in the future (such a pure swing!). What about Spieth? Those two kids would be a hell of a ryder cup group |
