I think Ping has finally put an iron out that I will have to look into. Has anyone heard anything about them? I know Bubba W. has made the switch to them this weekend.

I want to preface this comment by saying that Davy didn't say what I am about to comment upon, he just said what was. But I always find it interesting when someone suggests you should buy equipment based on one guy or one good outcome.

For example, I made a hole-in-one with a TechSole 911 hybrid. Does that mean everyone should go out and buy one, or that I should convert all my clubs to the TechSole brand? That would be silly, wouldn't it?

Should we all buy Nike clubs because the #1 ranked golfer does? Thankfully most people have concluded that too would be silly.

Nevertheless, you do hear people make that case from time to time and CERTAINLY the golf equipment ad agencies advocate this type of thinking.

Very true, I just thought it was cool he made the switch and bangs in a hole in one. Which comes to this point why is Rory having a hard time with Nike? I say it is not the switch at all but he is just playing bad golf. I understand you could have never have understood that from my comment.
And going back to what you said a person should never buy a pros brand just because you root for him or her or if they happen to be number one in the world. Heck if that was the case I would be playing all Callaway clubs. Well hell I'm busted I do play all Callaway's.
