More reason to like the FedEx Cup. Get pairings like these. Last year we had Tiger and Rory a bunch, now these guys. Good stuff.

Hopefully Woods shows. He pulled out of Notah Begay's charity event Monday.

But he's got an extra day to get ready since the tournament doesn't start until Friday.

A lot of drama in this pairing. Do any of these guys actually like each other?? Throw in Sergio, just to get the perfect UFC foursome.

Well if you throw in the caddies, Joe LaCava, Bones, and Stevie Williams, Bones and Tiger are apparently good friends. Other than that, no. Everyone hates each other. Hopefully Phil and Stevie will get in a wrestling match some day and Phil can show Stevie who the real prick is.

My money's on Phil. He'd whoop Stevie.

Don't know of any bad blood between Adam and Phil.

Actually there is... Phil used the long putter for a while just to show Scott how stupid those things really look! I think Adam demanded that Phil switch back. Not a lot of media coverage on that one but it turned into a cat fight when Phil threatened to take up surfing too!

Didn't hear about that, Jay. So it's unanimous; they do all dislike each other! San Diego's a surfing hot spot (I was a surf bum in my misguided youth), so maybe Phil can hang ten as good as Adam.

My understanding is that Phil and Adam like each other and get along fine. The putter thing was a online myth. Adam was the one that talked Phil into trying it. Tiger and Phil have been getting along a great deal better after Stevie departed or rather was pushed aside. If you saw Woods and Phil at the last Presidents Cup you would have thought they were best buds with all the high 5's and even a hug once when Phil won the final round. I am not saying they love each other but the temperments have cooled substantially. Tigers caddie is a very good friend of Bones and Phil because of his long standing working and friend relationship with Couples. If there is any problem in that group of 6 people it is Williams, but then when hasn't he been a problem.

I'm starting rumors Pappy... totaling joking about the putter thing. I just hate the look of that God awful thing, so I was telling a tale. The surfing reference might have given it away because Phil couldn't stay on a surf board if he tried. I'm just a smart @ss, but at least you gave me a good laugh.

Don't actually know if Phil and Adam get along, but my guess is they probably do. I think the primary "haters" in that group are Tiger and Stevie. No love lost. Tiger has always played up a casual relationship with Phil but we all know that Tiger doesn't care for him. They probably keep a good front in the team room at events but there's a reason Phil is never invited to the AT&T. He wouldn't go anyway.

Pulling out of his buddy's charity event suggests to me just how much playing this week means to him. It almost guarantees he'll be there.

On his website, it says on his schedule he's playing this week, which it didn't on Monday. He's going to be there.
