How do you post a new blog? Haven't done in a while and I can't find how to do it.

You can't anymore. Site took that way. Now only administrators can blog and the blogs are basically ads.

I really wish there was someway we could encourage them to reinstate this, for paid member at least. I know i said this in another thread, but i think it merits repeating. The users here consist the bulk of the traffic and supply all of the content. Not only are we suppling this content for free many of us are actually paying for the privilege to contribute it. This free content is used to help generate more traffic and additional paid memberships to this site. Without user content the site would not exist. I wont mention add revenue which is often traffic based. I don't see the point in removing this feature from paying members. It is free added content it is win win for the site and the members.

I have also beat on this drum from time to time. Looking back, I found the line sometimes blurry as what was a good blog post vs. what was better posted as a forum topic. Some of my early blog posts would have been better posted in the forum, but I still find myself posting topics that I wish I could post as a blog.

In particular, the longer or more philosophical posts. Would the admins consider perhaps, establishing a more conventional blog environment for users. Not an endless supply of random blog topics, but one blog page per user. Something that could be used to post longer more involved content, something with the formatting options which were available before.

This would be useful for anything from keeping a round by round recap to the sometimes more political, philosophical and purpose oriented topics that some of us like to delve into from time to time. Most conventional blog sites also allow the readers to subscribe or unsubscribe from a blog. It also would not need to appear on the sites main feed as a single user blog would be available on the users profile page.

Hopefully just something to kick around at the next production meeting...

I love the user based blog idea. Give each user a blog! I second that.
