So when I got my set of irons I got a 5-W of Titleist 712 AP2's, 3 wedges, 2 hybrids, and 3w and driver. I am thinking I want to drop the 58deg, and get a 4 iron to close the gap between 5i (210 yds) and 5h (235 yds). I'll prob still keep the 58 deg to fit the bag for a shorter course, but think a 4i would be much more useful. Any suggestions on where to pick up one of these? I tried checking on ebay, but a little leery of that. I was also considering a golfers warehouse, or golfsmith or something. Guess just curious what you may have had for experiences replacing or adding a single iron.

I have always had good luck with E-bay, but if you are not comfortable with that try 3ballsgolf.com. Great company that sells alot on e-bay. You can trust them.

...or you could just choke up half an inch on the 5h and you'd cover that gap.

Your local shop that carries Titleist can probably order that iron for you.

lol, sometimes the simplest ideas are the best ones.

Anyway, normally I would suggest the Ebay route and just check with the seller beforehand what the serial number is so you could call Titleist to verify.
Problem with that is, Titleist only puts the serial number on the 6 iron of their sets unless they make them to custom specs at the factory, and only then do they put the serial number on all the clubs.
I'm kind of in the same boat you're in. I just purchased a set of AP1 710s 5-GW and would love to get the 4 iron as well so I can get rid of another hybrid out of my bag.
Everything I've ever gotten from 3ballsgolf.com has been authentic and normally in better condition than they describe. I trust them completely.
