Has anyone tried the Tour Striker or the Pro version. Do you think it works? I have seen videos and I kind of like the concept. $100 is a bit steep, but its less than a golf pro's hourly rate.

Short story. My brother gave me a set of forged blades. I know I have no business using them but I sure am going to try to learn how to hit them. I'm finding it hard to hit the sweet spot with them. I'm hitting 1 out of 5 hits on the sweet spot. Blame it on the swing, not compressing or whatever I am doing wrong. I saw this product and thought maybe it would help me learn how to hit down on the ball. I really don't want to buy it but if it helps me compress the ball and hit a smaller sweet spot like blades, it might be worth looking into.

Anyways, Would you guys buy a product like this or would you just spend the extra time just practicing with the blades until you got it?

The whole reason I am doing this is because I am in the market for some irons and was thinking about blades. Mizuno, Callaway's, or Nike's. I know I'm not ready for them now, but I thought I would give it a try and see how I feel about blades. So far, Not feeling very good. But its only been 2 outings at the range.

What do you guys think? Am I crazy for even trying them?

With scores like yours and mine I suspect you'd find more enjoyment from the game by lowing your scores and hitting better shots rather than raising your scores and hitting worse shots. That said, everyone likes different stuff. Me? I recommend irons like Ping G15's.

Haven't tried the tour striker but I've actually heard really good reviews.

Dude..stop! don't buy another club.the set of blades you already have, keep em! now if you haven't done it yet,get fitted for those blades.next get an old small tire and an old 4 iron, and hit the tire at 50% not hard or you will break your wrist.hit this tire for 21 days straight, and you will be able to hit the ball on the sweet spot, every time.hit em long and straight!

The tour striker is a great trainingtool to get that impact you need to hit the ball for style. I've used it and I'd recommend it to anyone at all levels.

I use the tour striker Pro and love it. It has made a big difference in how I hit. I go back to it when ever I start to screw up my swing. I would spend the money for it over any training aid I've seen or tried for the money. Many golf shops carry it now so you could go and hit it a few. I would say don't go with the pro use the regular one. JMHO
