I got my new driver (head only) to fit my fitted shaft from my old 910 d2 and have not hit it yet.

Here in Ohio it's been 19* degrees one day then 57* degrees the next. Snow/rain/sleet/ice/sun it's frustrating.

There's 9" of snow by my house and tomorrows calling for a 57 degree day with 50% chance of rian.

I think i might hit up the range (if it's open) and see how my new 913 performs.

For anyone who has this club and played with it already, what can I expect???

is it like they said : "much more forgiving" : "more accurate" : "longer?"
"less side spin?"

what did you like about it? Is it much better then the 910?

We were kinda talking about this on another thread, about stagnating technology. Here's my humble opinion:

The best driver head Titleist ever made was the 983K, back in 2004. The 905T and 905R from 2005 are amazing too.

You can pick either of those heads up for around $30. You could sell your 913, get a good shaft to put in a 983K, and come out a couple hundred bucks ahead and have a totally killer driver.

What makes this model sweet? I'm curious , i'm going to search them on ebay,

Was this a 460 cc?

and do you believe this model is better then the new technology?

It just simply hit the ball great. Driver ball speeds, COR and MOI have been maxed out for several years. The 983K got there years ago.

It was made in 2004, like I said. It was a 385cc (I think?) head. That head size looks perfect behind a golf ball...much better than a 460cc...and it hits it just as hard. That's why I maintain that it's the best driver they ever made. My longest drive EVER came off a 983K.

I used to have the 905R, great looking club. I play a R11 TP right now. I agree w/ the stagnating technology. I keep looking to the new clubs, and although the R11 is relatively new, the R11S and R1 haven't impressed me enough to switch. I was gonna go back to the Titleist 913, but after hitting, it wasn't nearly as long as my current driver.

For me, you could flip a coin between the 983K, 905R and the 910 D3. My 910 is the longest of those three for sure and you're not afraid to miss it a little. The 983K, you could bend almost like it was persimmon. The 905 was a beauty right in between those two. I only really consider Titleist drivers these days, they're damn sweet.

So as to avoid hijacking the thread: The 913D3. I've hit it on a monitor, and I believe I even started a fourm on this exact club. Basically, I took the custom shaft for my 910 and used it in both drivers. My average was longer with the 913, my longest drive came with the 910. The reason I stuck with the 910 was the 913 had a consistently higher launch angle from the same loft. That equals no sale for this kid.
Awesome club though.
